Joyce Kay's Chili

Joyce's Chili



1- 1/2 Lbs. of Ground sirloin

1 med. Yellow Onion minced

1-2 Cans of crushed tomatoes

1 Can of whole peeled tomatoes, (Optional)

1 Can of Light red kidney beans

2 Cans of Chili flavored beans

1 Lg. Can of V-8 Tomato Juice

2 tsp. Chili powder

1 tsp. Garlic powder

1 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Pepper

1 tsp. Crushed red pepper







In large skillet brown ground sirloin, while browning meat, add seasonings, minced onion, and diced tomatoes, over low-med. heat until throughly cooked. In seperate dutch oven, add tomato juice, kidney beans, and chili beans, over low heat. ( You may add more seasonings at this point, if you'd like a more spicy chili ). Add cooked ground beef to dutch oven and stir throughly. Continue to cook over low-med heat for about 10-15 minutes, do not let scorch!. Enjoy, with a side of toss salad, saltines, shredded cheese, or a favorite side of bread. Top meal with strawberry ice tea with lot's of crushed ice!.
